Origins Church Kids’ Ministry:
Ages 6 months to 5th grade

“Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds…Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you wake up.” (Deut. 11:18-19)

Our community functions as a family and in turn, we strive to empower families. We are here to support and supplement parents as they raise godly children and to help equip them to instill Biblical principles as they parent. Our goal is to provide a place where our children are not only welcomed, but loved and respected by our community. We hope to guide our children in the steps of Jesus, and empower them with the Holy Spirit through worship, Biblical teaching and strong relationships.

At Origins we strive to partner with parents in order to provide a consistent flow of godly teaching between our gathered times and home life. We work to provide age-appropriate tools and resources to encourage children to learn and help equip parents to teach basic truths such as “You are Loved by God” and “You are Capable of Loving Others.”

Because we believe that children are a major part of our community, we are always looking for opportunities to include them in our gathered worship times and allow them to share what they are learning. We hope to encourage our kids by recognizing their spiritual achievements and giftedness, and then highlighting their stories in our community’s weekly newsletter. We make every effort to instill a passion for justice and action by organizing opportunities where kids facilitate outreaches and join in serving locally and internationally.
